Safe and Sound...

Well we made it safe and sound. Our flight was rather uneventful. We flew out of Ottawa of Ottawa at 5:30 on Thursday the 18th, landed in Vancouver 5 and some hours later. Went for a great steak dinner in the airport. Then boarded our flight to Manila around midnight local time. After about 20 minutes into the flight I did almost end up in a confrontation with the guy in front of me. Apparently he had already fallen asleep and while I was getting up to get my headphones I gently brushed his seat waking him. He flew out of his chair so fast it was kind of funny. He was rather pissed but after I apologized there wasn't anything more to be done. He was still angry and since Tara and I were so delirious having not slept much the last day or so we named him Mr. Gigglesworth due to him being worth a laugh... Ironically not 10 minutes after all that they started serving dinner on the plane so in reality I did him a favor. We arrived in Manila at 5am local time, and were quickly escorted by our assistant through immigration and customs (they didn't even look at our papers), then into the shuttle and off to the hotel. We were greeted by two people from the Convergys at the hotel but we were so tired and worn out from our trip we thanked them for coming to welcome us but we just wanted a shower and to relax. Anyways, I'm starting to ramble so I'm going to post pictures of my apartment hotel room and call it a day so far. Until the next post, farewell...

I know its sideways but I'm importing them from the camera directly so suck it up :) This is the living room area.
This is the 40" lcd tv with theater system down below... its at the end of the bed.
King size bed, and alarm with ipod dock built in.
Office area, behind the wood panel door is the washer/dryer combo.
This is the view from my room, I'm on the 22nd floor so its quite nice once you look past all the buildings.
Needless to say that even around a fancy hotel poverty is rampant. This appears to be a small little shanty town that I can see from my room.
When we arrived there was a welcome hamper for us. Cookies, juice, pasta, water, etc. It even had a juice box of milk... thats right I said juice box.
Half of the kitchen, I didn't bother posting the other half... do you really want to see a sink?

Another sideways pic. This is the tv in the bathroom. This photo is for you Kasper. Thats right I have a tv in my bathroom... what are you gonna do about it?

All I can say is wow.

Glad everything went well.

Jealous of your hotel room. It's not bigger than my house, but just put that nice TV in your suitcase and we'll call it a day. :-)

At least you have a nice place to call your temporary home.

Sleep well.

You sure you want to know what you can do with you bathroom TV. 1080p in the A, man!

PS: I'd like a picture of the kitchen sink.
